Been reading in the Herald, about legislators discussing creating laws that mandate voting with penalties for not voting.
I'm obviously not a fan of any kind of force, though there's def a need for higher voter participation on lots of issues up and down ballots.
It's got my mind thinking about what sorts of things create higher voter turn out, and about generational changes that can turn voting from a headache and chore, into something valuable and appreciated.
