When starting to support weight on your hands whether in locomotion, parkour, handstands, or just getting up off the ground, the wrists are going to be the weak link, simply due to lack of loading them.
By starting to load the tissue at end ranges of motion, we are going to not only get more range of motion, but we can start building strength, and then endurance at these ranges as well. By loading the wrist through multiple planes and directions, it can help keep the wrist structurally balanced, and not getting too strong on one side of the joint.
Just like having strong feet provides a foundation for our bipedal locomotion, having strong hands, wrists, and arms provide a foundation for our quadrupedal locomotion, and the ability to support weight and provide stability with the upper body.
In this 1.0 wrist routine, keep it indulgent. It shouldn't be painful. Over time you can increase the pressure, and the intensity, as you learn to have a better FEEL for what the tissue is responding best too. But if you have not done this before, start slow, and as the tissue adapts, you can begin to increase the stimulus.

Big improvements across the board for . Proud of the work you put in!
A very nice flow made by ! I am a big proponent of giving students the space to create their own sequences and flows. Rather than expecting a finished masterpiece on the first draft, I want them spending time “doodling.” Brainstorm many ideas, make lots of mistakes, and get messy with it. Then once they find something that they like, they can pull out a clean sheet of paper, and draw it cleanly and clearly. “If you can’t come up with 10 ideas, come up with 20…you are putting too much pressure on yourself. Perfectionism is the enemy of the idea muscle.” -
unlocking the muscle up at 52 years old! 🤘💪 (this was his second rep here). Solid, dedicate work went into this. When people tell me “they’re too old,” I laugh inside, and also sometimes out loud as well 😂 Age is not the limiting factor. I’ve worked with younger and older clients. I’ve worked with every level from professional athlete to Parkinson’s. The one thing they have in common that leads to improvement is HEART. As a coach, I can provide the road map to your goals. I can share my knowledge and process, and assist you on your journey. But at the end of the day, it comes down to you putting in the work. I’m just a catalyst.

Why mow the lawn, when you can shred it?
, or as we like to call him, “Young Ari.” An exceptionally intelligent individual, who is a pleasure to work with. He has made great progress in many facets of his practice, from acrobatics, handbalancing, strength, to mobility. Keep slicing it up man!
Spring into spring. It is heating up in Washington, and the coconut oil is starting to melt. I can now do acrobatics barefoot, without my feet going numb.
Thanks for the sweet shirt, loving your designs!

The “Archery” practice is Tom’s sincere attempt to create a practice of movement which lies in the space between fight and gestures-free expression.
The practice can be executed with two movers and up, and involves the development of both circular and sharp reactions which leads to high levels of awareness and a fluent - “tactical” mind. The movers will go through different forms of “games” which can wear strict rules and objectives or just a physical play of examining and interacting - a play we are all familiar with but tend to lose during our mature life in modern society.
Upon practicing Archery one can feel either like he or she is involved in a very skillful combat or in a passionate dance full of risks and traps. It is important to note that the name “Archery” ultimately holds nothing behind it as it constantly changes and flows into the shape the practitioners make up according to their needs and passions.
Tom Weksler and Roser Tutusaus will be coming to Seattle to teach a Movement Archery & Zen Acrobatics Workshop 11/22-11/24.
