MIND is on a mission to help organizations thrive in a digital world by protecting their most sensitive information.

MIND is the first-ever data security platform that puts data loss prevention (DLP) and insider risk management (IRM) programs on autopilot to automatically protect sensitive information, mitigate risk and preserve brand reputation. We enable businesses to mind what really matters—their most sensitive data. Founded and led by cybersecurity leaders and industry veterans, MIND is based out of Seattle, WA. Angus Loten explores how “Turncoat AI Agents Emerge as the New Inside Hackers” in The Wall Street Journal article.

“AI agents can inadvertently boost insider threats just by working as designed.” - Eran Barak, Co-Founder and CEO of MIND.

It starts innocently enough.

An employee, excited about AI and the ability to work smarter, builds her own AI agent.
The agent summarizes documents, answers questions and automates repetitive tasks. And to make it more useful, the employee connects the agent to internal file shares, cloud storage and Slack channels.

But, when a company has no visibility into what data is being fed into the agent, where that data is stored, what third-party models are processing it or who else can access the outputs, a simple prompt can now surface sensitive customer information, confidential business strategies or intellectual property that was never intended to leave controlled systems.

All in the name of productivity.

🏙️ What do Dallas, Miami and Philadelphia have in common, other than being great American cities?

They're all stops on CISO ExecNet's “Building a Data-Centric Security Program to Protect Cloud, SaaS and AI Data” series.

🔔 From the Big D to the Magic City to the birthplace of American democracy, MIND will be joining security leaders to talk about how to tackle one challenge that's universal: protecting data wherever it lives.

See you in:
📍 Dallas: Thursday, June 4
📍 Miami (Davie): :Tuesday, June 9
📍 Philadelphia: Wednesday, June 10

When your DLP is Stress-Free, you can take time for a little fun.

✈️ And watching grown adults get intensely competitive over paper airplanes at Gartner SRM has been more than a little fun.

MIND protects data from taking unauthorized flights. Paper airplanes, however, are cleared for takeoff.

Help us welcome Mark Cervantes to MIND as our new Regional Sales Director! 🎉

Mark brings 15+ years of startup experience, a decade in cybersecurity, multiple successful channel related appointments and what might be our favorite workplace philosophy of all time:
“Work smart, not hard.”

We’re pretty sure bringing Mark on board already counts as us working smarter.

Mark joined MIND because, in his words: “Why wouldn’t I join MIND?”

Fair point. Mark recognized an incredibly smart team, a DLP market going through a technical renaissance and a company leading that charge. All of this aligns perfectly with his #1 rule for success: surround yourself with smart people, work hard and it’ll lead to amazing things.

When he’s not helping customers, you’ll probably find him:
⛵ Sailing
🏂 Snowboarding or skiing
🏄‍♂️ Surfing
🍳 Cooking for family & friends
✈️ Boarding an international flight to his next travel adventure

We’re excited to welcome Mark to the team, especially if he’s bringing dinner.

Welcome to MIND, Mark! 🚀

👋 Help us welcome Maor Elimelech to the MIND team as our newest Frontend Developer!

Maor brings 10+ years of frontend experience, much of it from Israel's defense tech world, including 8200, where he played a key role in projects that won the Head of IDF Intelligence Award and are used by people across Israel and around the world.

Why MIND? In his words, the people. "Amazing, one by one, both professionally and as humans." (We're blushing.)

A few things to know about Maor:
⚽ He plays football and can probably out-dribble you.
🧠 Give him 20 minutes and zero prep, and he'll deliver a TED Talk on the intersection of Judaism, science, and technology.
🐟 Do NOT offer him tuna. Or ketchup. He'd rather go hungry, and according to army stories, he often did.
👨‍👦 Fun fact: He's two weeks older than his own uncle.

Welcome to the team, Maor! Tuna-free workplace certification pending.

Why CISOs Need Early AI Project Involvement | MIND Research 05/27/2026

🤖 If you want to move fast with AI, your first stop should be the CISO’s office.

I know. That sentence feels unnatural. It’s like saying, “If you want a relaxing vacation, start at the DMV.”

⚡ But companies are learning something important about AI: the organizations moving fastest long term are usually the ones with the strongest security and data governance foundations already in place.

Because AI loves access, it’s a personality quirk you just learn to tolerate.

Most security leaders want AI adoption to succeed. They just prefer governance to happen before the AI tool starts behaving like the most ambitious intern in company history.

Security doesn’t slow AI down. It’s what keeps AI projects from turning into cautionary tales six months later.

New from our Data Trust + AI Success series: Why CISOs need a seat at the AI design table.

Why CISOs Need Early AI Project Involvement | MIND Research Business leaders set the AI pace. CISOs translate the risk. MIND research explains why early security involvement is what separates governed AI from the rest.

Why Most AI Projects Are Failing (and It Isn’t the Model) 05/20/2026

4 out of 5 AI projects do not meet their KPIs.

Why?

Most companies are connecting AI to what’s essentially a giant data junk drawer:
🗝️ Old permissions
🫆 Mystery spreadsheets
⚠️ Sensitive data nobody’s classified or cleaned up in years

🗑️ in, 🗑️🔥 out. Everyone’s shocked when the outputs are unreliable. AI doesn’t magically organize chaos. It scales it.

When AI projects fail, it’s not usually the model that’s to blame. It’s the unclassified data, ungoverned access and invisible data debt underneath it.

Check out BLOG 4️⃣ of our Data Trust + AI Success Blog Series:

Why Most AI Projects Are Failing (and It Isn’t the Model) Only 1 in 5 AI projects meet their KPIs. New MIND research with 124 CISOs reveals why the data, not the model, is what’s breaking them.
