Repositioned!

Cairns by the very talented Paul Jensen, our excavation sub for the last 17 years. The 811 house slides to its new location this coming Monday and Tuesday.

It’s happening today! Dell and Chad from DB Davis house rigging will be lifting 811 17th off its old brick foundation as a first step to our repositioning this 109 year old home on the property and setting it on a new foundation. Come by at 2 pm to watch it slowly happen!

The Hive - our project at 827 S Cloverdale in South Park - is filling up with inspiring folks. Doing the walk-throughs recently reminded me how much I enjoy working with first time home buyers who are excited and in love with their homes! With four different buildings we decided to put up house numbers visible from the sidewalk.

it's a good day in gprojects-land when I can spend time with Brian Howard building a double height bookshelf at our new project in South Park. Our friends at 2nd Use have reclaimed bleacher seats from a Seattle high school, and it makes for perfect shelving! Gum and all. We are getting ready to launch a website for the homes in South Park - check out southparkhive.com and let me know what you think.

We just sold our last home at on Interlake Ave, just east of Stone Way. It has been so great getting to know that neighborhood over the last couple of years - I'll be sad to not have an excuse to stop in to Sea Wolf Bakery or the Stone Way Cafe. Next up will be 14 homes in South Park, another great micro-hood.

Early in the planning for this project I wanted to create a series of private outdoor spaces that were linked by a common walkway, similar to the housing I experienced in Denmark. I’m excited to see this view again in a few months when these patios are completed - with BBQs and outdoor furniture and coolers of beer - by new owners.
