Hawaiian/Northwest multi-instrumentalist Jonny Akamu has been performing on guitar, ukulele, banjo, and bass for 22 years and teaching students of all ages and levels for 13 years. Jonny plays and teaches folk, rock, blues, jazz, funk, classical, Hawaiian slack key, bluegrass, flamenco, songwriting, and improvisation. He performs in rock bands, folk groups, jazz ensembles, and solo all around the
Weekly Lesson: Muting and Notes. This is a technique that requires a lot of control. Use three strings at a time and your pentatonic scale to practice it. Have fun!
