Client delivery picture. I was commissioned to paint this image of the classic mid-century Belgian cartoon character Tintin and his dog Milou. As the son of a diplomat, the client attended a Swiss boarding school, where he learned French by reading this comic. The railroad and shipping background is chosen for where he now lives. The side of the painting is lettered: Tintin et Milou, Sam Day d'aprés Hergé (Sam Day after Hergé). Latex paint on Belgian linen, 80 x 40 inches.

The client for this illustration was a freelance mediator between insurance companies and plaintiffs.
