Celebrating Kahlua and his happily ever after!

Kahlua has officially joined his forever family, and we couldn't be happier for this sweet boy! He truly hit the jackpot with previous adopters Jennifer and Corey, who welcomed him into their wonderful home alongside their incredible pack—Red the Black Lab, Millie (a proud rescue alum from us!), and Chief. Having canine companions was exactly what Kahlua was used to, making this the perfect match.

These friendships are already blossoming, and we know they'll share a lifetime of adventures and cuddles, together.

Foster kids helping Mabel and Maria build confidence by practicing gentle handling, positive interactions, and showing them that little humans can be kind, calm, and fun to be around.

And great job, Mom and Dad, for teaching your children to treat animals with kindness, patience, and respect. Those lessons will last a lifetime.

Mabel & Maria are soaking it all in and it's pretty clear the kids are enjoying every minute too!

They deserve a soft place to land, a cozy throne to call their own, and a family who adores them. After all Buzz and Woody have been through, they deserve endless love.

🌡️Heat Advisory: Keep Your Dogs Safe!🌡️

With the temperatures climbing, please take extra precautions to keep your pups safe and comfortable.

💦 Keep fresh, cool water available at all times to help them stay hydrated.
🥒🍉 Offer hydrating treats like peeled cucumber and seedless watermelon in moderation.
🧊 Make frozen treats by freezing non-fat plain organic yogurt with blueberries, or low-sodium bone broth into bite-sized snacks for a refreshing way to cool down.
🌳 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening, and stick to shaded areas whenever possible.
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car—not even for a few seconds.
☀️ Don't allow your dog to lie in the hot sun for extended periods, as they can overheat and even suffer burns from hot surfaces.
🧊 Cooling mats, cooling bandanas, fans, and air conditioning can help keep them comfortable.
🐾 Check pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds—if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws.
🏡 On especially hot days, keep outdoor time short and let your pup relax indoors.

Know the signs of heat exhaustion: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or lethargy. If you notice these symptoms, move your dog to a cool area, offer water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.
