Hearts4Doxies Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home based rescue in Seattle, dedicated to dachshunds & other small breeds. Thank you.
Our mission is to give owner-surrendered dogs a safe alternative, while also saving lives from high-kill shelters. Our goal is to help as many dachshunds and other small breeds that need a new journey and safe place. Whether a down doxie, senior, medically neglected or bonded pair, we give them our heart and soul. Our hope is that all dogs have a special person to care for them and provide comfort during their golden years. With auctions and other fundraising platforms, we raise funds to help with expensive vetting or long-term health issues such as: Diabetes, Cushing's, IVDD (to include acupuncture, hydrotherapy, laser therapy), dentals, radiology, lab work, medications, antibiotics and other needs associated with providing a quality life. Sir is a 4-year-old boy who was surrendered to a local shelter, and he is struggling. He is extremely overwhelmed by the shelter environment, overweight, and traumatized by his previous home. đź’”
We know Sir will need time, patience, understanding, and someone willing to commit to his healing journey. We will share more details with serious applicants who are prepared to give him the quiet, safe environment he desperately needs. Let's turn trauma into triumph

• Quiet and simple household & lifestyle
• Secure, fenced yard
• No children
• A small, laid-back dog would be wonderful
• Someone who understands rescue, dog trauma and has experience with the breed
• Western Washington homes only
Sir doesn’t need perfection. He needs patience, stability, compassion, and a safe place to decompress and begin healing.

ARLO IS ON HIS WAY HOME!
His surgery was successful, and our sweet boy was, as usual, an absolute ROCK STAR! We are beyond grateful for his amazing veterinary team and everyone who has been sending Arlo your love, prayers, and good thoughts.

Arlo is making his way to the ophthalmologist today, and we’re hoping and praying for the very best news.
We should finally know definitively whether Arlo will be able to keep his eye or if he’ll need lifelong eye drops to preserve his vision and comfort.
