The skies parted just in time for our shoot at the Arboretum. I’m still obsessed with my anamorphic lenses and always looking for a reason to use them. This was the perfect opportunity. It was so great working with and . They both made the shoot easy and enjoyable.

Today's setup. Main light, then background, then hair/edge light.

Another setup from yesterday. Didn't have my softbox with grid for the hair light but I made it work with an umbrella. Looking for a tiny strip or softbox for hair lights as I think I'm done using bare bulb flash for hairlights. It illuminates too many flyaways. The softer that light is the less work in post needed.

OMG, I'm addicted! 4 panels now. 4 12v 100ah batteries in series for a little over 5KWH. Hoping to offset some of my electricity running my heater during the day for my office. I think it should work well to offset the electricity from at least one of my AC units during the summer.

Got to go photograph and film at the Zoo lights for my client in the rain. The wet made some pretty cool reflections!

Another successful shoot showcasing some of the amazing staff at Sweeney Conrad.

Great day at Sweeney Conrad for updated photos. Just stills this time around but I lit almost everything with my video lights so I could easily change color temps on the fly.

Anyone have experience with Godox F600bi panels? Thinking I need something much thinner than the 60" octa I use for these situations.

They're coming along!

Got them sanded, and CJ helped me stain and finish with poly semigloss. Replaced the wood screws used on the test baffle with T-nuts which, really secures the drivers so much more!
Now I need to cut the base, stain and finish those before installing.
I soo want to just plug them in and listen. It's so hard to do things right when it comes to wood working and speaker building. The ADD in me wants to complete the entire process in just one sitting. It kills me to do small steps at a time. It's good practice for me though as it's a skill I need to work on.

It's not often I get to use nearly 100% of my work toys doing what I love. Can't wait to share some frame grabs from our upcoming 72 hour contest shoot that we filmed in about 16 hours! Thanks for grabbing these shot Angie Miller not sure how you found the time in between producing, shooting, talent wrangling, scheduling, craft, location procuring....and much much more! You and Jeff McGuire are a force to be reckoned with!
