Someone asked whether we could make a cover for the empty holes.

We could, and we are not going to. The holes are the design. A wall you can rearrange forever has to show that it can be rearranged, and hiding that would be building a worse version of the thing on purpose.

If the look is not for you, that is completely fine. We will make you cabinets instead.

No house is straight or square. Our cabinets are.

So every install is a decision about how to handle the meeting of a perfect box and an imperfect building. You can scribe it, you can trim it, or you can leave a gap and let the two things be two things.

We leave the gap. It keeps the cabinets the cabinets and the building the building.

Plywood arrives in units of about thirty sheets and consecutive sheets look like each other. Grab one out of order and it will not match, which is why drawer fronts always come from sheets that were neighbours.

Everything else gets used somewhere less obvious. Jigs, cabinet interiors, and eventually toe kick platforms, which are the risers under your cabinets that no one will ever look at.

We try to send the least amount possible to the dumpster.
