This tatami room made us forget we’re in Washington! 👀

We checked out Kyoto Japanese Cuisine and if you’ve been sleeping on it for a “real” sushi night, it’s time to wake up! 🥢 We tried a ton of their menu and honestly couldn’t pick a favorite, everything was that fresh.

Sushi Sundaes are a thing! And you can find them MINATO 🍨🍣

Minato Donburi is one of our favorite takeout spots for fresh donburi bowls, and this time we finally tried their sushi sundaes. They’re basically mini donburi bowls, making them the perfect way to sample different flavors or grab a lighter snack.

We went with the unagi sundae, and it was just as good as everything else we’ve had here. If you’re after a full meal, our go-to orders are the hot gyu don with marinated steak and the classic chirashi don.

One thing to know: they’re takeout only, so be sure to place your order online before you go!
