At around 11:30 this morning, students were alerted that the school was going into a shelter-in-place, because the police had gotten reports of a student with a weapon on campus. This quickly turned into a lockdown. Students were evacuated classroom by classroom by SWAT teams into the gym where they currently remain. The police department is working with the school to try and release students between 2-3 pm. Most students have not eaten as the situation began during first lunch. The alleged suspect is in police custody. Once the police have finished searching each classroom, the students will be allowed to return to their rooms, one class at a time, to retrieve their stuff.
