Did you know that recognizing the early signs of cardiac arrest can save lives? Cardiac arrest can happen suddenly and without warning, but knowing what to look for can make all the difference.

Usually, the first sign of sudden cardiac arrest is the loss of consciousness. Typically, the person collapses and doesn’t respond or breathe normally. They may gasp or shake as if having a seizure.

In August our Medical Oversight partners Washington State Ferries employees helped save a life at the Edmonds terminal. A passenger fell and was knocked unconscious while boarding the Ferry in Edmonds. The Crew of MV Spokane administered CPR and used an AED for a successful outcome. Great Job Crew on MV Spokane!
