❄️ It’s that time of year again when we need to prepare for colder weather. Below is a list of some of items that should be considered if the temperature drops to freezing or below. ❄️
To prevent pipes from freezing and possibly breaking:
• Please notify the leasing office if you are going to be out of town for an extended period of time.
• Maintaining your heat at 55 degrees or above will help keep pipes clear.
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air access pipes.
• If outside temperature should drop below 20 degrees, please leave a trickle of cold and hot water running in all sinks and bathtubs. Call the leasing office immediately if you have frozen pipes. Do not attempt to thaw them yourself.
During inclement weather:
• Staff will keep stairs and sidewalks clear of ice and snow.
• Care should be used when outside during these conditions.
• Do not pour water on the windows of your vehicles to clear ice or snow. This could break your windows and add to freezing problems on the parking lot.
• Please remember de-icing products used on the stairs, sidewalks, and roads could be potentially harmful to your pets. All pets should be on a leash or carried when they are outside. We recommend wiping their paws off when bringing them back inside. The de-icer is only harmful if swallowed.
• If the power goes out, please remember not to leave burning candles unattended. Never use a barbecue/grill inside your home, walkways, or stairs.
• If conditions are so severe that help is needed, please call the local Red Cross chapter.
Office hours this winter can vary, depending on driving conditions. If you call the leasing office with a maintenance emergency and do not receive an answer, please call our emergency maintenance number.
We appreciate your cooperation and support; and want you to be safe. Please contact the leasing office with any questions or concerns.

As the holiday season approaches, we invite you to embrace the joy and beauty of decorating while keeping safety a top priority for everyone. Please take a moment to review these tips to help ensure a safe and festive environment for all.
🎁 General Safety: Do not hang anything on or attach anything to fire sprinklers. Avoid overloading outlets by using only one plug per socket. Use extension cords safely. Don’t connect multiple cords or run them under rugs/across walkways. Keep a fire extinguisher accessible or know where the nearest one is located. Use a stepladder when hanging decorations rather than standing on furniture.
🎄 Trees: Place trees away from heaters, fireplaces, or other heat sources. Choose a fire-resistant artificial tree, or water real trees regularly.
🕯️ Candles: Use LED or battery-operated candles whenever possible. If using flame candles, keep them away from flammable materials and never leave them unattended.
💡 Lights: Inspect decorative lights for frayed wires or broken bulbs before use. Turn off all lights when leaving your home or before going to sleep.
By following these simple guidelines, you can create a festive and safe atmosphere in your apartment. We appreciate your attention to these details and wish you a joyful and safe holiday season!

Gobble, gobble, gobble 🦃 Do you hear that?
It’s Thanksgiving week, and it’s never too early to be thinking about cooking safely! As our residents and team members prep for the big day, here are some tips to have a safe cooking experience this year.
🥕Before You Cook: Report kitchen issues to the office or submit a work order. Clean the oven base to avoid burning or smoke. Don’t wrap drip pans in foil, as this can trap grease. Test smoke alarms and know where the fire extinguisher is located. Deep-frying turkeys is not allowed.
🌽 While Cooking: Keep counters clear of flammable items. Never leave cooking food unattended. Avoid cooking if tired or intoxicated. Watch out for hot steam and liquids. Keep cords tucked away/out of walkways.
🦃 After Cooking: Only small scraps go in the disposal (no bones, peels, or other large or hard objects). Let grease cool, then toss it in the trash, not down a drain.
🥧 In Case of a Fire: Stovetop: Cover with a lid and turn off burner. Oven: Turn off the heat and keep the door closed. When in Doubt, Get Out: Evacuate, close doors behind you,
and call 9-1-1 from a safe place.
We hope everyone has a safe, and Happy Thanksgiving.
