Did you know that Google officially launched a "Preferred Sources" feature for Google Search last August? It allows users to prioritize their trusted news outlets in "Top Stories" search results.

Now, any website owner can place a "add as a preferred source on google" badge on their blog (for example). May be worthwhile for any site providing a good amount of content (on a regular basis). There's a Wordpress plugin for it, but it can also be accomplished with Google's official badges and HTML code. Badge as seen on CNET
