Did you know we offer ahi poke ready-to-go in market and online? Pronounced "poh-kay," this Hawaiian dish means "slice or cut into pieces."
It originated with Hawaiian fishermen using reef fish and seasonings. The delicious combination of ahi tuna and soy sauce emerged in the late 1800s due to Japanese influence. Ahi poke is served chilled to maintain texture and safety, and traditional ingredients include raw ahi tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, onions, seaweed, and sesame seeds.
