📚🌱🪴 Thank you, Galveston Reads, for selecting THE LIBRARY OF LOST DOLLHOUSES for its ‘26 pick! My trip to Galveston was amazing! I felt like I was stepping straight into the Bel on Thurs night when I entered the beautiful historic to lead a miniature plant-making workshop. I met a fabulous group of readers who produced a glorious collection of miniature plants made out of plant wire, masking tape, paint, glue, and black tea. There were no rules —your plant could be any color, it could have flowers, butterflies, books—and this friendly group delivered!!! Thank you to all who joined in the fun! And thanks to everyone who came to my book talk today. What a fabulous community of readers! I’m grateful places like The Rosenburg Library exist. 🌸🪴🍃

😎 I dodged last week’s Seattle snowstorm because I was in Arizona, where I soaked up the sun and visited 16 of the Thorne Rooms at the Phoenix Art Museum. These dioramas are made in tiny 1/12 scale and are incredible. I’d seen 68 of them already at the Art Institute of Chicago, so I loved seeing more of the collection. 🔍
And we enjoyed more art . . .

It was a super exciting opportunity for her and we couldn’t be prouder!!! Vamos, Edith!!! 🔥🏈🪴💃 And don’t worry, she still got to hang with the boys from Heated Rivalry! 💅🏻

🐰My final handmade creation of 2025! 🧶 Once I knit the bunny, I had to sew her a little wardrobe of different outfits, obviously. 🧵✨ Happy new year, my friends. 🥂

This was a great fall for producing all kinds of creative projects. Were there some dead ends and messes? Yep! But I wrote a lot of new words, played with clay, and created tiny things, so I’m very very fortunate to be surrounded by friends who inspire me. ♥️ I’m looking forward to new adventures in writing, reading, and making things in 2026! 🧶📚🧵
