Back from a vacation in Scotland and I found these in a museum. Wooden water pipes - how cool is that.

Shadow boxes for art with lots of spring clamps.

Some bent laminations that one day will be a pot rack.

These things are quite time intensive. You have to make the forms, cut the veneers and then glue them up one at a time. Also we found that 8 layers with glue is quite slippery. The veneers do not want to stay in the same place which makes for a very exciting glue up.

Checked out the new Earthwise Architectural Salvage lumber warehouse near the shop this morning. They take reclaimed lumber and process it down. Lots of old growth fir.
