Mirror, mirror on the ground?

Two shots of the Picture Lake shot approx 1 hour apart. I loved watching the sunlight move from the foreground and over the mountain closer to sunset. There was also a tiny lenticular cloud(that hat!) over the mountain at sunset.

A Cauldron of Stars.

Drove to St Helen's last Saturday to shoot the sunset & the milky way. The frame reminded me of a cauldron with a log at the bottom and stars brewing out of the mountain! The first image is a composite of the 2nd and 3rd.

I read the news about the landslide at St Helen's this morning and realized I lucked out by deciding to go on Saturday & return early on Sunday!

Hate the smoke but love the blood orange moon.

Last night’s Harvest Moon rise from Seattle!

Shot with the 100-400mm with cropped mode on the Sony. I would have liked a longer lens.. hopefully next month we get a clear night and I manage to shoot with one!
