Artistic Indulgences

I am really looking forward to seeing how this grows. We are intentionally not making much structure at first. Letting the event tell us what it needs as it goes along. That part is definitely a growth experience for me. Come on down to Gallery Erato as artwalk winds down.

We are resurrecting Artistic Indulgences. It will be held monthly at Gallery Erato immediately following Art Walk in Pioneer Square on the first Thursdays. The format will be different. The basic idea is a celebration of making art with the human body. Live and in person. You can come and show off, exhibit yourself or be exhibited. Objectification is encouraged.

Every month will be different. With different performers and a format that encourages immersion and in some cases participation.

Last night's creative meeting went very well! We have our performances laid out and the food is going to be exquisite! Kim will have the menu finalized before the weekend and we will publish it then for your mouth-watering and planning pleasures!

While we won't be serving Pisnu Cutlet, you can bet David Jones will recite an ode or two to it.

We have just confirmed that chef Kim Black will be making the food for An Epicurean Taste on 8/16!

Kim is the creative mind behind the beautiful and tasty food at last November's Harvest Regale, a Foundation for S*x Positive Culture fundraiser.

He will have delectable bites for you to nibble on throughout the evening, and a "food as performance" piece where you will be able to watch him create you next mouthful of bliss.

Tickets will go on sale 7/25.

On August 16, 2014, we will join Sky River Winery and Icon Cellars in their Redmond tasting room for Artistic Indulgences: An Epicurean Taste.
