It’s currently snowing outside my window, which makes me dream of these snow peaked mountains and the colors of North Cascades NP ❄️🏔✨

Snow is on the forecast for this coming week in the PNW ❄️🌨

Tips:
* Hike it counterclockwise (going clockwise will be much more steep) 🥾

* The view at this point above Lake Ann is undeniably photogenic, but don’t miss out on savoring the views higher up 🏔

* Go early. The parking lot was full on the weekend by 7:30 am. You can park along the highway, but you may end up parking 1/2-1 mile from the trailhead

* As always, pack it in, pack it out 🙏🏻

The cool, foggy dampness that we experienced last fall in North Cascades was completely different than the sunshine, warmth, & mild smokiness that we found this year.

Natural hot springs are something I’ve wanted to experience for a looooong time, and I was ecstatic to finally be able to soak in these Oregon hot springs.

It is a true privilege to experience the natural world, & it is also a responsibility.

Our Eureka camp stove is a champ ! Excellent heat control, easy to clean, & aesthetic af.

The Lodge cast iron reversible griddle gives us those pleasing grill marks on our filet mignon…and can easily be flipped over to fry eggs for breakfast 🍳

GSI cookware and plates are efficient to use, pack conveniently, and are plastic-free 🙌🏻

Willamette National Forest

🌲 Sahalie & Koosah Falls: 3 mile loop hike that reveals a wonderland at every turn ✨

🌊 Blue Pool: ~4 mile “moderate” hike to a brilliant blue pool. The water is chilly but worth jumping into on a hot day 💧

☀️ Terwilliger (Cougar) Hot Springs: get here early, nudity is common, the top pool is the hottest 🔥

There are quite a few campgrounds in the area. We got VERY lucky and found a spot without having a reservation, but making a reservation would be a good idea because the area is popular ⛺️
