Today we’re celebrating Ross Bernard, P.E.'s 2nd Anniversary with Amento Group! Ross brings impressive expertise to our engineering team as a Professional Engineer, supporting our structural work with thoughtful analysis and design. Over the past two years, he has contributed his knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to helping our team deliver great work for our clients. When he’s not solving engineering challenges, Ross enjoys baking, kayaking around Seattle, reading, and cheering on the Detroit Red Wings, Seattle Kraken, and Seattle Thunderbirds. We’re grateful to have Ross as part of the AG team and look forward to many more years ahead!

Happy 19th Anniversary to our President, Ben Borland! Since joining the firm when we were still Corke Amento, Ben has helped lead Amento Group through many milestones—including becoming President in 2018. His thoughtful planning, creative problem-solving, and commitment to doing things the right way continue to shape who we are today. We’re grateful for his leadership and proud to celebrate 19 years with him.

Big news from Amento Group! As we celebrate 30 years in business, we’ve officially moved into our new office in the Miken Building in the Central Business District. For three decades we’ve been helping clients solve complex building challenges, and this new space gives our team room to continue growing and collaborating for the next 30 years. Today we celebrate Ethan Carlisle's 5th Anniversary at Amento Group! Ethan joined our team shortly after moving to the Pacific Northwest after attending Louisiana Tech University, and we’ve been lucky to have him ever since. He’s the definition of dependable—quiet, kind, and always willing to help wherever needed. From drawing sets and specs to rope access and site visits, Ethan does it all with a calm professionalism that makes him an invaluable part of our team. Congratulations on 5 years, Ethan—we’re so glad you’re here!

Birthday celebrations done right! Kevin Montez and Eddie Hernandez were treated to handmade Conchas courtesy of Kevin’s dad—and the whole office got to enjoy the love. Huge thanks for sharing such an amazing (and delicious) tradition with us!

We’re proud to share that Wing Lam has officially earned his Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Civil Engineering with a structural focus—a major professional milestone and a testament to years of dedication, growth, and hard work. For Wing, this achievement represents more than a new credential. It reflects how far he’s come since graduating college and marks the beginning of new goals and responsibilities as he continues to grow into his role. As a newly licensed P.E., Wing is excited to expand across all aspects of his work—from investigations and reporting to design and project management. Preparing for the exam while working full time (and helping care for a busy two-year-old!) was no small feat. Wing credits the support of the entire Amento Group team, with special thanks to Darren Johnston, our Senior Structural Engineer, for years of patient mentorship—and, of course, his wife Ana and son for their incredible support throughout the journey. Congratulations, Wing! We’re lucky to have you on our team—and we hear a Hawaii vacation and a steak on the grill were well earned.

Amento Group celebrates 30 years!
On January 1, 2026, Amento Group celebrated 30 years in business — having grown from our early days as Corke Amento, where we originally specialized in “Construction Disputes: Prevention, Presentation, and Resolution Services.”
Today, our work has evolved into a multidisciplinary practice in Construction Project Management, Architecture, and Engineering — guided by our leadership team of Ben Borland, Lisa Moe, and Dave Gramann.
We’re still proudly small but mighty at 22 employees — with half our team here 7+ years — and we’re excited to mark this milestone as we move to the Miken Building next month.

Dave Gramann is known not only for his leadership and clear direction — but also for keeping the entire office on its toes with years of practical jokes, quick wit, and perfectly-timed antics. 🎄 Ugly sweater season = WSCAI Holiday Lunch perfection 🎄

Josh Strange and I decided that if we were going to do ugly sweaters, we were going to commit. So we went full Christmas Vacation with matching sweaters:

💦 “Why’s the carpet all wet, Todd?”
🤷‍♂️ “I don’t know, Margo!”

We tied for 2nd place (the Grinch was AMAZING and completely untouchable 👏), but we may have won for most explanations required. Turns out not everyone immediately recognizes a Griswold quote… so yes, we showed the movie clip on our phones more than once. No regrets.

To make it even more fun, we rolled out our holiday Amentos—custom candy with the matching quotes. Absolute hit… once people got the reference.
