Since 1961 the Pacific Northwest Basketball Officials Association has provided qualified referees for youth, adult, recreation, and school basketball games in the greater Puget Sound Region. Our referees are independent contractors and officiate nearly 25,000 Seattle area school and recreation game assignments each year. School season is around the corner! Looking to improve your rankings so you can get promoted to the varsity list? Looking to move up the varsity list to work playoffs or go to state? Looking to get a tuneup in so you can provide the best service to the student-athletes? Join us at Referee Basic Training to get 3 packed days (Friday 9/16 3pm - Sunday 9/18 2pm) of classroom sessions, on-court feedback from games (girls and boys varsity) from a staff with a breadth of experience from HS playoffs to collegiate playoffs to NCAA playoffs to the Olympics, video breakdown on at least two games, and a social! Special invited guests include Men's and Women's NWAC, small college, and D2 coordinators of officials, as well as an NBA scout. Spots in camp are saved on a first come first serve basis so don’t delay. Click the link for more information and to register.
