MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Our biggest event of the year - the Launch Family "Fun"draiser - is set for Saturday, May 30th from 12pm-3pm at the Rainier Community Center! You won't want to miss this community celebration filled with game booths, food, crafts, face painting, balloon animals, live entertainment, and much more! A few weeks ago, I had the chance to visit a Launch pre-k program right here in the 37th Legislative District. Launch works every day to make sure the children in their care are thriving—both in the classroom and in their communities.

Early learning spaces like this don’t just support kids; they support working families and strengthen our entire community. Grateful for the educators and caregivers who show up for our youngest learners every single day.

With the passage of the Prop 1-FEPP Levy, the City of Seattle will adopt a six-year spending plan in 2026 to support children, youth, and families. We have some BIG news! The University of Washington College of Education has selected Launch as the early learning provider and UW partner for the Rainier Valley Early Learning Campus (RVELC)! Co-designed with Rainier Valley community members and set to break ground in Fall 2026, the RVELC will expand culturally responsive early childhood education and care, serving as a local and national model for community–university–government partnerships that center community needs.
