I’m delighted to announce I’ve been invited to serve on the advisory board of 's innovative, award-winning program.

As a former business journalist, I can’t emphasize enough the importance of empowering leaders with human-centric, technologically-informed communication skills now and for the future. This incredible program, under Dr. Ekin Yasin ()’s leadership is a premier graduate program like no other.

Thrilled to join Elaine Q Chang and the other advisors next week for my first CommLead advisory board meeting!

Over the past 10 years, some strides have been made in advancing women in the workplace. According to new HBR article titled "How Work Has Changed for Women in Corporate America Over the Last 10 Years", women now make up 29% of C-suite positions, up from 17% in 2015. While this represents a gain, there's still work to be done.

Key takeaways from the article:

✨️ Inclusive cultures are crucial: Companies with inclusive cultures are more likely to implement effective strategies for women's advancement.

✨️ Tactics are paying off: Many recommended tactics have been yielding results, demonstrating progress in the workplace.

✨️ Parity is still a challenge: Women of color face a longer road to parity, highlighting the need for continued efforts.

Is thinking fast always a good thing? 🤔

It turns out, the myth of thinking fast can be a double-edged sword. Here's why:

✨️ Cognitive Biases: Quick decisions can lead to errors and overlook important details.

✨️ Reduced Creativity: Slowing down can spark more innovative ideas.

✨️ Exclusion: Fast-paced decision-making can leave out diverse perspectives.

Embrace the process of thinking more slowly for better decision-making, innovation, and inclusivity. Let's break the myth together! 🧠
