Plumber is telling me I have too much pipe for a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo and wants to redo the piping. i had a soft clog in January that a plumber came out and put a snake in my drain the fix. Then last week I was using my primary bathroom sink and a pipe started leaking. could the pipe leak because it had a snake down there? the original plumber who used the snake did not want to say if they could be related. then a total wild card amother plumber came to tell me there is too much pipe for a 2 bedroom 2 bath and wants to open up my bathroom to repipe. I’m already $3k in the hole. the circled spots are the troubled spots from the plumber who wants to repipe. HELP!
PS! Another plumber came with a camera flushed toilets and said everything was flowing the way it is intended to. I have so many opinions and not sure who to trust.

Wife had toilet moved. Now what? Floor appears to be a type of LVP snap together with a self leveling under it than sub floor. I just put some 2 by underneath it for now so nothing gets dropped into basement.

Moulding installing guidance, There is an inset bookshelf which had too much depth so I made it less by creating a boxed frame and I'm adding a ribbed moulding. My question is can I just brad nail the moulding onto the frame - made with studs 16" on center, or do I need to add a mdf/plywood sheet first and then attach the mouldng?
Thank you!

Cut Wet Bar Rough-In, This wet bar rough in (for a sink) is obviously dual purpose, vent and drain. This vent must connect to my main house vent header somewhere. I’m not using this and never plan to. As you can see, it’s causing my bulkhead to be lower (or awkward). I want to cut and cap this line so it’s not in my way at the header and I can raise header height (shown framed in).
What are the chances cutting and capping this vent will cause me issues? I have another similar setup for a basement vanity sink that I’ll be using on the other side of the house.

108 year old heart of pine, It’s splintering and worn. I can’t replace it right now, but is there anything I can do to mitigate some of the issues I’m having ? Besides rugs…

Vinyl roll floor repair! I had to remove some vinyl floor in an RV to repair some compromised wood and now I am to the point of relaying but I am not having the best of luck. Any recommendations on how to get it to look best. Do they sale colored seam sealer that could fill the gaps at the wood plank line? Not looking for perfect, just a good looking job. Any advice would be appreciated.

Varnishing pinewood floor!
Hi all,
After long days of sanding my pinewood floor (to get rid of the old varnish and holes), it is time to start varnishing.
See picture below for the contrast between the sanded and non-sanded wood.
I’ve done some research but I’ve read different approaches.
- How many layers of varnish should I apply?
- is it necessary to sand between layers? If so, by hand with grit 240 or how would you suggest I do this?
- would you recommend satin or mat varnish? Is there a difference between these other than aesthetics?
- In the picture it is not really clear but in reality the floor looks more orange. I’ve read that UV light might make it more light orange. I would like to get back the darker (brown) look. Would varnish (even though transparant) make it a little bit darker over time?
- I’ve noted blue spots in the pinewood floor (primarily in front of the shower, which probably are caused by moisture. Is it possible to remove these (already tried sanding them)? If not, should I treat them with a certain product before varnishing?
- other tips are surely welcome!
Thanks in advance!

These styles of tile look so much better when you take the time to match up the veining, I hate when it's just a random schizophrenic spiderweb. Homeowner was very pleased when they took a look.

Help with Carrara Marble tile layout/color, We are having our master bathroom tiled and when the installer sent us a photo of the layout, the variations in the color of the Carrara tile surprised us. We know it is a natural material so variations are normal but do these variations look like what you all usually see when using this material? If so, would you change out any of the groupings or do you think once this is grouted (white grout) that it will look fine. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
