This is your 2025–2026 ASB President, LaStoree Wallace. Storee is a junior with an incredibly bright future ahead of her, and she has already made a lasting impact on our school community.
Throughout this year, Storee has led and contributed to several memorable events, including Homecoming, Pancakes & PJs, and the Black History Month mural and potluck. These are just a few highlights—her leadership and dedication extend far beyond what can be listed. She continues to inspire not only ASB members but the entire school.
Among her many accomplishments, Storee spent a week at the School of The New York Times, where she took a course on reporting on communities and culture. During the program, she visited key landmarks, interviewed remarkable individuals, and ultimately excelled, earning outstanding remarks from her professors along with a certificate of completion.
Academically, Storee has maintained a perfect unweighted GPA of 4.0 and a weighted GPA of 4.5 for three consecutive years. Her commitment to her education is evident through her consistent hard work and achievements.
Looking ahead, Storee plans to attend the University of Washington in Seattle, where she will pursue a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She has also secured an internship with The Seattle Times for the summer after graduation, an incredible opportunity that reflects her passion and drive.
Storee aspires to begin her career as a newsroom assistant, grow into an assistant editor, and eventually become an editor herself. As she puts it, “It’s a constantly evolving industry, and at the end of the day, people are going to get their news from somewhere—I want to be a part of that.”
Storee has proven time and time again to be an invaluable part of Summit Atlas. At just 16 years old, she is already admired and appreciated by so many. Thank you, Storee, for being such an exceptional president and an even more incredible person.

Summit Atlas Mock Trial team took FIRST PLACE in their competition this past weekend! The team won the most overall ballots and the highest number of overall points.
Four students were nominated for best witness, three students were nominated for best attorney, and one Summit Atlas student won best attorney at the entire competition!
Mock Trial is a competitive activity where students simulate a courtroom trial. Students portray both attorneys and witnesses, and compete against other middle schools in the state. They develop case theory, create direct and cross examinations, work to learn the rules of evidence and develop public speaking skills!
This is the first year Summit Atlas has had a Mock Trial team, and we are so proud of their amazing accomplishments!
