It’s always fun to get out of the office for a site visit!
Looking back fondly to a few site visits last month to California’s Central Coast and Clark County WA and dreaming of warmer climates as we weather the tail end of this atmospheric river back home in Seattle.

Barbara has been busy flying up and down the West Coast to multiple site visits – topping off her travels with a glass of wine during golden hour, sketchbook in hand

There’s something magical about a home lit up at night. The floor-to-ceiling windows and soffit lighting cast a warm & cozy glow, making this retreat in the San Juans feel like a lantern set in the landscape.

Achieving such a large expanse of windows on one façade at our Alki Beach House project required close collaboration with the structural engineer, which allowed us to maximize the amount of glass for the biggest wow factor.

When working with limited space and the need for privacy, reeded glass was the perfect solution! This semi-obscured glass allowed us to borrow light from the adjacent bedroom window to help illuminate this staircase while still keeping things discreet.
