Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) happens when the veins in your legs struggle to send blood back up to your heart. Over time, the valves inside these veins weaken or get damaged, and blood starts to pool instead of flow properly.

Here is what that can feel like day to day:

🔹 Heavy, aching legs — especially after standing or sitting for long periods
🔹 Swelling around the ankles and lower legs
🔹 Visible varicose veins or skin changes
🔹 A constant sense of fatigue in your legs

CVI is more common than many people realize, and it is not something you simply have to live with. Understanding what is happening inside your body is the first step toward feeling better.

Lipedema and lymphedema are two conditions that are often confused, yet they affect the body in very different ways. Here is a simple breakdown:

Lipedema is a condition where fat builds up abnormally, usually in the legs, hips, and buttocks. It almost always affects women and can cause pain, tenderness, and easy bruising. It is not caused by lifestyle choices, it is a medical condition.

Lymphedema is swelling caused by a buildup of lymph fluid when the lymphatic system is damaged or blocked. It can affect the arms or legs and may develop after surgery, infection, or injury.

Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, therapeutic technique that can make a real difference in how you feel. Here's why so many people are making it part of their wellness routine:

✔️ Reduces swelling and fluid retention — It helps move excess fluid through the body, easing discomfort and puffiness.

✔️ Supports your immune system — A healthy lymphatic flow means your body is better equipped to fight off illness.

✔️ Promotes relaxation — The slow, rhythmic movements calm the nervous system and reduce stress.

✔️ Aids recovery — Whether you're healing after surgery or managing a chronic condition, it can help speed up the process.

✔️ Improves circulation — Better flow throughout the body means more energy and less fatigue.
