Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day marking the legal end of slavery in the United States. This day serves as a reminder of our nation’s history and the ongoing importance of education, reflection, and progress, as we continue to advocate for freedom and equality.

This month, in celebration of PRIDE, our team participated in the Move 2 Fight Hunger challenge. Together, we raised funds to combat hunger while shining a light on the heightened challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community, who are at an increased risk of food insecurity. The meals provided through this initiative will offer vital support to those in need.

We celebrated Women's History Month by participating in the Celebrate Women's 5K! This inspiring event not only brought our community together but also made an impact, with a portion of the proceeds supporting Dress for Success, an organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing professional attire, a supportive network, and tools for success in work and life.

We're proud to celebrate Native American Heritage Month by highlighting the success of our recent tree planting event at the Crystal Springs Park in Tukwila where our team planted over 80 native plants and trees! This initiative reflects not just our commitment to sustainability but also our care for our community. Let's continue to celebrate, protect, and cherish the spaces we all call home.

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th, we honor the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. This vibrant and diverse heritage has enriched every aspect of our society—from arts and music to food, innovation, and leadership. This month, our team members are invited to celebrate, learn, and engage together through a variety of events taking place around the Puget Sound.

In celebration of PRIDE Month, our team participated in a 5K to raise awareness about food insecurity within the LGBTQ community. Shockingly, 22% of this community lives in poverty and faces food insecurity. Through our partnership with Move For Hunger, our goal is to provide 180,000 meals this month. By joining the Move 2 Fight Hunger challenge, we're committed to "moving" to help fight hunger and spread awareness.

In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, our team dedicated a day to giving back to the community by volunteering for trash pick-up in Seattle's Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area (CIDBIA). We are proud to have collected 16 bags of trash, contributing to the cleanliness and beauty of this vibrant neighborhood. It's our way of showing appreciation and support for the rich cultural heritage and the incredible contributions of the AAPI community.
