Teams from all over the globe converged in Kakamega this week for ’s Give Back Program to provide safe water for over 65,000 children in the areas of Western Kenya. 

We’ve been truly humbled by the excitement, compassion, intrigue, hospitality, humility, love and kindness extended by not only the 40 full time local LifeStraw team members, school administrators, teachers and children, but also anyone else we may have had a split second interaction with as our car would pass by. People on the roadside waving with such welcoming vigor for us to be visiting their home.  Truly a great representation of what humans should strive to be, regardless of where they call home. 

All that being said, these folks deserve help in maintaining an elevated level of health due to the lack of safe drinking water in this incredibly beautiful region of Africa.

If you’ve read this far, you’re probably saying, well how could I possibly make a difference halfway around the world with my own limited resources and busy schedule?  
Well, it’s actually far easier than you may think.  Purchase of a LifeStraw product for use in your daily life at a nominal cost will go to providing safe drinking water for a school child for a full year!

 The community filters you see in the post from our installations this week will provide kids with the ability to grow, learn and flourish by removing viruses, bacteria and parasites from their local water sources used daily in the local scorching climate.  
It’s something that is within everyone’s budget, the same technology will go to keeping you & your household healthy. These same community filters are dispatched around the world to support people in other crisis.

We are all one human race and need to consider the collective lift necessary for ALL to thrive on this blue planet we call home. 🌍
