Spring Home Design: Loom House on Bainbridge Island weaves design and sustainability into a one-of-a-kind tapestry of connections This super-sustainable home on Bainbridge Island is the first renovated home in the world to achieve full Living Building Challenge certification.

I received a sweet note this morning from a former client:

"Sidney, You designed the lighting system in my custom home on Mercer Island in 2000. I’m still in my house and I love it. A custom design is the best way to go. Over the years I’ve been so thankful for the lighting design. It’s absolutely great.I get comments from guests that see my house for the first time. They are always impressed as they look around the rooms and ceilings. I love that I can change the mood of my home by tweaking the lights. My ceilings heights range from 12 to 16 feet tall and I have 8 foot doors so the lights have a beautiful effect on the walls because you aimed the lights on the walls. I’ve thought often of looking you up to see if you are still in the Seattle area. If I ever build another home I will beg you to design the lighting system. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the beauty you created for me and I just want to say “Thank You” for the quality of and the time you spent on my home.
