As emergency physicians, we understand the confusion and chaos that can ensue when medical risk is not proactively managed. We strive to keep your mariners and employees healthy, safe and productive throughout their careers while assisting your company in reducing direct and indirect medical costs and liability exposure. Through decades of experience providing medical support to vessels a

t sea, and consulting as an expert in maritime claims, it became apparent to our co-founders that a new approach to medical support at sea was urgently needed. After being approached by multiple vessel operators requesting our expertise, we founded Discovery Health, LLC in October 2016. We began providing services in January 2017. We provide medical support 24x7 and our office is open Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm. SERVING THE MARITIME INDUSTRY

• 24×7 Physician consultation support with recommendations for consideration by the vessel Master or appointed Medical Officer
• Assistance with ship diversion and medical evacuation coordination
• Arrangement of air and ground ambulance transportation and medical escort services on commercial flights
• Arrangement of medical and dental appointments in port
• Physician Driven Medical Monitoring
• Nurse Case Management Services
• Fitness-for-Duty and Respirator Screening Platforms
• Enhanced Officer Platform to assist credentialed mariners in preparation for medical recertification exams
• Medical Chest Design and DEA Compliant Controlled Substance Management
• Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) supply, support and medical control
• As needed, consulting in maritime medical risk management and complex medical cases. We will work with you to build a best-practices medical risk management program tailored to your vessel operations. As of today, all of our Covid-19 community testing locations have ceased operations. Over the two years of service, our dedicated Discover Health MD staff administered free testing to approximately 170,000 people. Bonney Lake, Grays Harbor, Lewis County, Spokane, and Tacoma, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your communities!

Get vaccinated at MSC. In partnership with Discovery Health MD and Public Health - Seattle & King County MSC will be hosting a community vaccination clinic on Tuesday, September 27, from 2-6pm at our Federal Way office. Vaccination is free, no insurance is required. We will have all approved vaccines at this event for anyone 6 months old or older.
