A large warehouse fire on the border of the Ballard and Fremont neighborhoods sent smoke billowing into the surrounding neighborhoods Thursday afternoon.
Crews were on scene overnight and into Friday morning of that three-alarm fire, which destroyed much of the building and injured one firefighter.

WA 'Onlyfans House' human trafficking suspect to be in court The suspect accused of leading an organized crime and human trafficking ring will be in court Wednesday morning.
Gov. Bob Ferguson announced a uniquely early legislative request for the 2027 session.
The governor says getting phones out of all classrooms in public schools across Washington will be a priority for his team. He spoke Wednesday at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School in Seattle, which has banned phones for two years on its campus with widespread support from students and staff.
