Friends and Neighbors,

Since reopening Local last Spring, we have not been able to make an operational profit. Since the Omicron variant took hold (just after the holidays) it got significantly worse.

The food & beverage industry has not been my professional focus since 2018.

I am extremely proud of the hard work that so many folks have put into Local 360, especially Sylvain Berthe. The product and service was good to the end!

I also thank our loyal customers who supported us along the way through our ups and downs.

I’ve decided to close Local 360 and put it up for sale. My hope is that a true owner operator / full time restaurateur will take over this space and love it like I do. Ideally, they will be a substantial on-site presence and active member of the Belltown community for years to come.

Never Say never. It has been almost exactly a year since Local 360 Café and Bar closed its door due to Covid-19. Since then, we have sheltered in place, stayed home, and rebuilt the restaurant with the proper safety protocols. As Spring of 2021 warms up, we have renewed the lease, brought back some familiar faces & new friends, and begun the slow process of getting back to normal. With the current safety measurements, we have very limited seating, staff, and hours of operation, but it feels good to reopen the doors. As more and more jabs in the arm take place, we will open up more and more. Hope to see you when you feel the time is right! Cheers, Local 360

Wild ginger from is an evergreen perennial that grows at a fairly fast rate. It sends up shoots from its horizontally growing rhizomes and creates a low mat-like ground cover. It has heart-shaped leaves and bell-shaped brown flowers that bloom in the spring. The edible rhizomes are long and spindly with a woody exterior. They are best when foraged in the fall and winter because they are large and flavorful, packed with stored nutrients for the upcoming dormant winter. Wild ginger root and leaves exhibit the quintessential aroma and flavor of ginger you would expect, but with stronger pepper notes. Wild ginger compliments carrot, garlic, scallion, cilantro, mint, honey, cream, chocolate and rum. We hope you will enjoy it infused in our alpine honey custard. .
