What a beautiful evening of music on Wednesday! I was blown away by and sets! In a world that feels like we are constantly pursued by chaos and uncertainty, stepping into felt like the warmest safest place in the world. Thank you to all the humans who created this space, whether we’ve known each other for years or just met for the first time last night, you are important and your existence matters.

Final installment of our throwback posts! In 2024 we regrouped as a trio and played two very sweet shows at two of our favorite venues and celebrated wedding in Italy! Shortly after their wedding, Garrett and Christine moved out of the country and have been traveling the globe! We are so happy for them and love when they come back to town to visit!

Our second era of datenite was so so fun! We began to find our sound with on board and started to see the vision take shape! We released our first (and only 😆) EP, sold out the Sunset, opened for one of our favorite bands , played , and had way too much fun in the studio! Our debut EP is still available on all streaming platforms!

As we prepare for our first DATENITE Duo show on June 11th at , we wanted to reflect on some of the past iterations of DATENITE and give some history of where we’ve been and where we’re headed! Way back in 2016, .st.lee and met via Craigslist, both newer to Seattle and looking to form roots in the music world here. We quickly met who became our drummer, and we performed our first several shows as a trio! We shared bills with folks who have become lifelong friends that we still keep in touch with to this day. Little did we know, our future bassist Garrett was in the crowd at one of our first shows!

Man oh man what a perfect night! Thank you everyone for sharing this sweet cozy evening with us!

In 2017 we played our first show as DATENITE. We met this guy named Garrett who said, “your music is great, but you know what it needs? Bass!” And we said “Sir, you’re hired!” And the rest is history! Garrett has been a solid, constant friend through all the ups and downs of our datenite journey. He’s a voice of reason and a very respectable tie-breaker on musical decisions. Tonight we play one last show with him before his big move to Ghana! We are so sad to see him go!
