As we close out one of our most prolific years, we have much gratitude to be able to share positive stories that are having meaningful impact on communities across our state. We worked with legal luminaries, survivors, builders, creators, academics, equity champions, health justice heroes and many others who are working to keep our communities safe and help them to thrive. In quiet moments of appreciation, we continue to be in awe of the beauty and wonder of our world. There is much to celebrate as we all safely journey through this holiday season. We wish you all great joy and peace and look forward to sharing time with you in 2025!

Hello All! It’s been a productive spring and summer as we’ve created 40+ videos since April, crisscrossing Washington State, traveling to Spokane, Vancouver, Bellingham, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Olympia, Tacoma, all over King County, Airway Heights, and back to Spokane. Thanks to our clients and to our team members who stepped up to help us out on projects for the Port of Seattle’s Ground Service Equipment program, the Metropolitan Development Council, Seattle University’s Technology, Innovation Law, and Ethics program, Sal Mungia for Justice, PCVA Law, the University of Washington's Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, the Platinum Group and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Western Washington for Rainier Valley Leadership Academy, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Puget Sound, the Washington State Bar Association, the Seattle Clemency Project, and the Northwest Justice Project. Our Saving Sea Turtles: Preventing Extinction movie is still making the rounds, with showings in the U.S. and Europe. We are looking forward to the fall as we finish up some projects and get ready to kick off some new ones!

We had the wonderful opportunity to work on the Port of Seattle’s Youth Maritime Career Launch program. It was a great time for us to meet the young people who were exploring maritime careers, be out on the water on Sound Experience’s 110-year old schooner the Adventuress, capture the participants learning firefighting techniques through Compass Courses, and film one of the program participants, Martrez Darden on the Washington State Ferries. Thank you to all who provided access and allowed us to film, including local maritime businesses. There was a lot of work behind the scenes, so we are thankful to the Port and the Urban League for organizing our shoots and providing additional videos we needed to complete the project. Thanks also to the late John Feher and his family for allowing us to use drone footage of the Adventuress. As creatives, he did amazing work. Best of luck to all of the program participants!
If you’re in the Seattle area, and know of anyone who might be interested in exploring a career in the maritime industry, consider contacting the Urban League or Maritime Blue.

May your 1st Quarter of 2024 be off to an inspiring start! Ours has been full of opportunities creating videos and sharing inspiring stories about Skagit Legal Aid's work with the Swinomish Tribe and Mixteco Indigenous community, as well as the renowned immigrant rights lawyer, Jorge Barón, now a King County Councilmember for the Legal Foundation of Washington, the Youth Maritime Career Launch program for the Port of Seattle’s Workforce Development team, anti-human labor and s*x trafficking trainings for BEST Alliance, the University of Washington’s Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center, Sal Mungia for Justice Campaign, the City of Des Moines, Pfau Cochran Vertetis Amala, the Evergreen Impact Housing Fund, Stacy Witbeck for Sound Transit, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, and others. We have gained valuable insights into how the power of good will is uplifting members of our communities and helping them to thrive. Thank you to all of you who trust us to tell your stories. We are deeply honored. We look forward to sharing more of these stories with you throughout the year.

May your 2024 be off to a great start! Having filmed across Washington State the last 2 years, we have been getting behind the scenes and meeting phenomenal people who are doing transformational work with meaningful intentions to ensure that safety, equality, and justice are supporting and revitalizing our communities. We are thankful for our nonprofit, education, legal, government, environmental, corporate, and construction clients who continue to inspire our work.

We are wishing you all well. We have survived and thrived but also lost loved ones during the pandemic. We are grateful to our clients who have continued to come back to us, as well as refer us to other clients. During the pandemic, we were able to create nonprofit videos related to the environment, education, race equity, food insecurity, refugee rights, domestic violence, labor trafficking and s*x trafficking, LGBT rights, legal heroes, legal aid assistance, unemployment benefits, dairy farm worker rights, and the list goes on. We’ve also been working with a local artist on a music video, with City agencies in King County and with our construction clients on projects at the new Seatac International Arrivals Facility (nice facility!), the light rail in Shoreline and other roadway projects along I-5. We were also able to meet and film Lem Howell, a local civil rights hero and Doug Baldwin, former Seahawks wide receiver, which was pretty cool. Here are some photos from this past year. Many blessings to all and looking forward to seeing you in person again soon!!!

It was fun conducting an interview in the Mariners dugout for one of the recipients of the 2019 APEX Awards. Fred Rivera, executive vice president and general counsel for the Seattle Mariners, is receiving the Sally P. Savage Leadership in Philanthropy Award. It is one of eleven awards the Washington State Bar is giving out this year.
"Did you know that eviction is the leading cause of homelessness?" Fred found out and he and his team at the Mariners did something about it! Find out here:
