True Colors

I haven't posted anything in a while, but working on projects everyday. Here is something I finished this morning that was commissioned by a local jewelry store.

It time to post a video to show my gemstones. I specialize in sapphire, but I also have a nice selection of emerald, ruby, blue zircon, matched pairs, and more.

I was challenged to make this ring by a client. In the past I would not have even attempted it, because my wax mill is not capable of producing it. But my new 3D Printer can, so I made it. I think it looks great, and with my new printer, a whole new world open up for what I am capable of producing.. WooHoo!!

I haven't attempted to do a ring like this before, but I was given the challenge, and decided to go for it. It came out nice enough to share, I hope that you like it.

This is a ring I made a few years ago for my friends, Jacob and Aileen Tedrow. Jacob and I met in my office and picked a princess cut diamond from a selecton that I had brought in. He had a design in mind that I made on my computer. After the design was approved, I milled the design into a wax.
These pics show the 3 phases of the ring making process. First the wax is made, then it is cast into metal, Then the stones are set and the ring is polished.

This is a three stone ring with a trellis style head and prong set diamonds on the shank.
