This past week at Camp Reality was truly transformative. Kids stepped away from the constant scroll and rediscovered what it means to be fully present. Instead of likes and comments, they shared laughter, stories, and real conversations.

The camp’s theme drew inspiration from the story of Jesus and His guidance toward the right path, not in a preachy way but as a reminder that life is about meaningful choices. Through outdoor challenges, creative activities, and group discussions, campers learned the value of connection, purpose, and living authentically.

By the end of the week, they weren’t just more engaged; they were inspired. They left with new friendships, bigger dreams, and a plan to live with intention in a world that often feels too digital.

Her warmth fills the store as much as the aroma of fresh bread does.

Behind the scenes, her husband Andreas works quietly, turning simple ingredients into something extraordinary. He’s the craftsman behind the bakery counter. The one responsible for the golden loaves that draw people in from blocks away and the sandwiches that have already become local legends. Every morning before sunrise, Andreas is there, kneading, baking, and perfecting. Each loaf is made with care, and every bite tastes like a bit of his dedication. Together, Barb and Andreas have created more than a grocery store, they’ve built a gathering place filled with heart💖, honesty, and good stuff!

The people of Port Orchard can feel it, that rare sense of connection and quality that modern life often forgets. I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of a historic dining experience back in March and work with a well renowned Indian establishment in downtown Seattle.
Nirmal's is known for their hospitality, welcoming environment, and lavish food that unfolds your taste buds! This particular event involved recipe's that were brought back to life from a thousand years ago! The owners worked closely with several historians for months, curating the perfect blend of dishes that one would eat centuries ago India. You would come to know that in today's world, when folks think of Indian food. Generally the common dishes that come to mind are "Butter chicken", or "Palak Paneer" when in fact these are not considered authentic and have been labeled as "traditional" As a chef myself, I got to experience first hand what true authentic Indian cuisine was like and also went back in time for a day! Enjoy.
