This was the last project completed before the move began. Now while I'm forced by that circumstance to take some time off, I'm stalking tomoseattle.com for the next opening to book a reservation 😉

Moving 101: Get the experts!

This is the A team: Nur, Maha, Joseph and James They arrived with a 26' van which they loaded TWICE and magically unloaded into our garage which is half the size of that shop! (Well I might have left out a couple of details there but nothing important, well to be fair we did some cleaning the next day before we took that last photo---). If you need to move (residential or commercial) in the Seattle area I recommend TwoMenandaMovingVan.com!!! (253) 215-1850

The BirthdayBoy is wearing a marigold lei from the West Seattle Farmers Market --- who needs Kauai? It's far too complicated to fly there...

A note from Brandis (Mrs. Graycloud)---

Don’t be alarmed because Robb is okay now; this is just an FYI:
After an illness that seemed like it was going to kill him (in Sept and Oct) Robb’s been told he has an autoimmune disease known by the interim term of “Sudden Inflammatory Response Syndrome”,  a non-diagnosis that came with the supposition that it will most likely turn out to be Still’s Disease . Interestingly, the odds of this are 1 in 6 million (!?) but still, it is the doctor’s best guess…go figure.

My husband was actually unable to get out of bed and/or in the hospital for exactly eight weeks, so when I said he’s okay I mean “okay”. He is solidly alive, yet has a lot of physical therapy and nutritional work to do in order to become normally okay again, and he will get there! Lead times are going to be longer than usual!!!

The worst part: he's taking a drug for it that is making his great hair fall out in great big handfuls---even the dogs are upset about this!

I was too overwhelmed to ask for your prayers, extra karma, energy and meditations during this nightmare, but these things would be so helpful now, so if you would, please send Robb a thought from your heart, I know he will feel it, and I will be so grateful. Thank you - B

In the works: a collection of kitchen knives I’m creating in collaboration with Canlis chef Brady Williams and my interior designer wife, Brandis. Four knives are in the proto-type stage: Slicer, Chef’s knife, Detail knife, and a Petty knife which will be the first one released. Link in Bio. DM me for specific details and $.....Here are photos of the process to make this knife:

The Dr. is in...okay, maybe not a M.D., but I do have a Ph.D in engraving. Ha! Here is my set-up for engraving bolsters for a folding knife. If you need something custom engraved, shoot me a message and let’s talk.
