Nannie is 12, with special needs. She has an infected foot, likely related to allergies, entropion, a mass that may be cancer, a fractured tooth, and she's underweight. She prefers male dogs, cats unknown. We know its a long shot, and it will take a very special and dedicated human, but weve been trying to find a home for her with no luck. We can help offset her medical costs. If you think you have what it takes to give Nannie the best rest of her life, email us at [email protected]. Shes in the Seattle area.

Dangerous heat is comingโฆKeep your pups safe.
Also, please consider placing a shallow dish of water out in the shade for the birds, squirrels, etc. Place a rock or stick inside so insects can crawl out safely, and change it at least daily!
Good Morning Friends!
It's predicted to be HOT pretty much everywhere in the U.S. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we are gearing up for a heatwave coming this week. It's up to us to keep our animals cool. We hope you will join us in keeping beloved dogs at home, definitely out of hot cars and off of hot pavement!
Here are some other tips to read and share to make this a safe time of year. We appreciate you sharing this with all of your friends to raise awareness for safety. โ๏ธ

Remember Blue? We've been trying to find her a home since last September. We are SUPER happy to share that she has been adopted!

Tonka has been waiting for SO LONG, we are sharing this sweet little flower in hopes it will help find her a home. Please see her original post for the details. She is currently in Hoquiam, WA (Ocean Shores).
We have been sharing Tonka every Saturday for a few weeks now, hoping for an adoption. She is still at the NORTH BEACH PAWS Shelter. The shelter is only open on Saturdays. One of our followers mentioned that we should try sharing Tonka on Friday, so that people could plan their trip to Hoquiam, WA. to adopt Tonka. We think that was a good idea. So let's share Tonka again and hope, hope, HOPE that today we finally reach her adopter! ๐ค๐๐ค๐๐ค๐
This dear girl has been there over a year now, after she tragically lost her last person to whom she dedicated herself to as a support dog.
Tonka is an 11 year old female who weighs about 60 pounds. She loves to go on walks and play with toys. She can be particular about other dogs, and does not care for small dogs or cats. She does have allergies (chicken for one) but is otherwise very healthy.
Tonak is posted for the North Beach PAWS in Hoquiam, WA. (Ocean Shores). The shelter has a thorough adoption process, you can read more about this on their website: northbeachpaws.org
Please call Nanette at 360-660-4661 or email [email protected] if you have any questions regarding adopting Tonka. One must email to request an adoption application to be considered.
This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation

Violet won the doggie lottery. When she met her foster mom, she was immediately smitten, and that IS special. Why? because this little girl only seeks out love and interaction on her own terms - shes not the lovey-dovey type. But when she met her foster mom, she became a velcro dog! There is something very special about that human, and Violet knew it. They bonded, and she is never leaving, she is HOME.
This couldnt have happened without two dedicated women who wouldnt give up. Violet came *this* close to not having a future... thanks to them, she does... and its a sunny, happy, and full future! (And, yes, Violet is IS wearing pearls in that first photo!)
Happy start to 2022!

2022 we are ready for you.
Our year ends with Violet going into foster. Violet was adopted from the shelter, and returned, twice. TWICE.
It took a village (well, two remarkable women), but today, she is safe and went home with a very dog savvy and experienced human. Once Violet decompresses a bit, she will be ready for her forever home. Its a positive year-end for Violet.
We couldnt do what we do without you, thank you for your support. Wishing you the happiest New Year, from all of us at LHDR โค๐พ

PSA: Itโs brutally cold, if your dog gets lost outside, itโs extremely dangerous. Please donโt let your dogs off leash, and check your fences, etc. We are seeing so many reports of lost dogs, and temps are in the teens. Its heartbreaking.
Keep โem safe. Thank you

These remarkable dogs were instrumental in the shift of how dogs like them are perceived. They, and the humans who rescued them, have opened the possibility of having a future for so many dogs. They truly are, heroes.
(Thank you Washington Post for telling their stories.)

Your Love Is Their Second Chance
Lady's Hope Dog Rescue is a place of hope. A place where dog dreams come true.
Every year over four million dogs die needlessly because there are not enough homes, foster homes, or space available.
Founded in August 2010, we are a small group, dedicated to finding loving and responsible permanent homes for unwanted, neglected and abused dogs. And, one-by-one, stop their suffering, and reduce the number of dogs who will die needlessly, every day, due to lack of homes.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt charity in the State of Washington.
