We were brought in to add comfort and color to this once neutral interior. Also, make it cat friendly with easy care materials...not a problem. We punched up the saturation in timeless furniture shapes and gave the walls a warm wash of turmeric. Textured wool area rugs keep it grounded.

After Designing spaces for many fabulous and amazing clients, It was such a satisfying experience to be the client and design and renovate my own kitchen. It's a rewarding experience and I feel such ease having everything in its place and making the space function for us! My favorite is the double dutch doors of the mud room aka dog beloved sun spot. The Nook has been dubbed "laughing nook" by our peeps. 1911 Craftsman revival! ...scroll to see the before pics.

It's a wrap! We are turning this lovely bright kitchen over to the clients tomorrow! We uncovered that large window and installed three new mahogany to match the original windows in the adjacent dining area. Laced in white oak flooring, stained a warm Nutmeg. Who's ready to cook!?!?

We've come a long way! Our goal with this stunning Tudor Home was to make a connection. Better flow between the dining and kitchen space, better connection between family members. Allowing everyone to have their space to do their activity but still be in connection. The function of the space is paramount. The beauty then flows....we will be wrapping this one up in June. Check back to see the end project.
