Check out this very cool 3D printed castle play-set. This is a very different technology than the what the Magic Dollhouse uses (additive 3D printing vs. laser cutting) but it allows for incredible flexibility. This is definitely the way of the future. Now if we can only 3D print wood (or something that is more organic):
