I've been very happy to see "Underwater Breathing" become a fan favorite. When so many songs seem to fall by the wayside shortly after release, it's amazing to see this one continue to grow and connect with folks.

This morning we released a new live version of "Underwater Breathing" on YouTube. This is the last from our Live at Georgetown Steam Plant session. ICYMI, this session includes live videos of two new songs, "Good Feelings" and "Old Maid" plus this performance of "Underwater Breathing. Check em out.

New live video!! "Good Feelings" for the Tiny Desk Contest :) Link in bio.

Last year we made our first Tiny Desk entry with "Everything Under the Sun." We were very honored to have that video featured in the NPR newsletter. From over 8,000 entries, our vid was one of a few handpicked to receive an extra shout-out. That was incredibly special for us, so all year it was always in the back of my head, "what are we going to do for the next video?"

In typical Hi Crime fashion, everything came together at the last minute. I wanted to premiere a new unreleased song. This song was unfinished, but felt like the right one. New arrangement decisions were made the day of filming. This performance is basically the take where we discovered what the song truly is.

And let's talk about the venue! Holy moly. This is the . Two weeks prior to filming, we had no location to film in. I asked around for unique spaces that are open to artists doing their thing. Their team welcomed us with open arms, and were great to work with. We'll post more BTS content from this shoot soon, because the whole venue is pretty incredible.
