Our mission is to work with Seattle's Union Gospel Mission in orchestrating a formal holiday event for the women and children of Hope Place.

This past June, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Isaac Chan, a graduated senior of Newport High School, to host a formal dinner/dance event for the members of Seattle Union Gospel Mission's Hope Place shelter. The Hope Place branch works to rehabilitate women and children who have been victims of domestic abuse. Isaac wanted to create this event to not only restore a sense of dignity to

Hello everyone!

As of right now the Promless Team has raised $2,585 for our Promless for Y ROC Event! Thank you to all of the 24 contributors on GoFundMe.com and all of the donations we have received in person for our cause. The event is approaching and we have volunteers from many local schools who we are organizing into 3 main subcategories for the event (wait staff, culinary, and decor), each responsible for a vital part of Promless. We will keep you updated with our progress, and thank you.

UPDATE****
Hi Everybody! Because Hope Place shelter is very busy during the holiday season, we will not be holding our Promless event there this year.

HOWEVER, we will have gotten in contact with Seattle Union Gospel Mission's Youth Reach Out Center (YROC) and will be coordinating a prom/ winter formal for the middle and high school students of the area. This event will involve many of the same aspects such as a delicious dinner, live music, and other festivities! Stay tuned!

Hello everyone,
This past June, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Isaac Chan, a graduated senior of Newport High School, to host a formal dinner/dance event for the members of Seattle Union Gospel Mission's Hope Place shelter. The Hope Place branch works to rehabilitate women and children who have been victims of domestic abuse. Isaac wanted to create this event to not only restore a sense of dignity to the homeless of Seattle, but also establish a community awareness and responsibility to high school students. Now that Isaac has graduated, he has passed on his work to us, Alex Namba, Victoria Gu and Daniel Koh. We would like to continue Isaac's spirit of giving back and host another 'Promless for Hope Place' event this December. While last years event was prom-themed, this year we are aiming for a 'home for the holidays' theme. The funds raised through Gofundme.com will be used to purchase food/supplies and decorations. All leftover money will go directly to the Seattle Union Gospel Mission for their use. We will be collecting all our funds at the beginning of December in prep for the event. This means a lot to us as we have witnessed the effect that Issac had on our community and we would like to give back just as he had. Our goal is to create an event that is unforgettable for the women and children of Hope Place.
