The best place for community, coffee, and just sitting still.... Mabel is a startup corner coffee business situated in the fast-changing Ballard Neighborhood.
Profits from this enterprise support the local community by subsidizing the rent and renovations of existing housing stock for a number of affordable housing units. The coffee shop is named after founder Brooke McCurdy’s Great Aunt Mabel; a remarkable woman who blazed her own storied trail her whole life. She was one of the first WACs to serve in WWII, and later, in her 80’s, she navigated the great US Highway System at the wheel of her 42-foot GMC Revcon RV. The tiny coffee shop celebrates Mabel’s spirit of adventure with tasty local fare ready to go for its customers, and delicious coffee drinks for their road less traveled, whether off to work, or a stroll around the surrounding quiet residential streets. Mabel is next to a busy Metro Bus stop, teaming with people on their way into and out of the city. Mabel is a friendly place to start and end any day. The RV Park
Out back, behind the coffee shop, is an open, flexible indoor workspace called “The RV Park” (which stands for Retail Visioning Park). It’s a utility space for rent to build mockups of retail designs, or even pop-up concept retail stores that customers can visit. But it is also a place that suits a multitude of community uses. It’s a perfect place to hold small art classes or community meetings and celebrations. Everyone is welcome at Mabel and the RV Park.

Mabel Coffee is turning 10, and we’re celebrating with a birthday block party!
Join us on August 15th from noon to 3 pm for an afternoon of live music, local art, food, coffee, activities, and time with friends and neighbors.
The STL Quintet will kick things off with some jazz starting at noon, followed by local legends Font Size 100 at 1:30 pm. We’ll also have local artists displaying their work, illustrations by Lars Larrowby for people of all ages to color, face painting, games, birthday cake, and plenty of coffee.
We hope you’re able to make it out and celebrate with us!

Our summer drinks have officially dropped and it’s citrus summer here at Mabel! We built this menu around bright, refreshing flavors for the warmest days of the year.
HOT HONEY HIBISCUS ESPRESSO SODA
Espresso, sparkling water, grapefruit juice, hibiscus, hot honey, and a hint of peppermint.
LIME IN THE COCONUT
Espresso, coconut water, fresh lime, and house-made lime syrup.
MINT MATCHA LEMONADE
Matcha, lemonade, peppermint tea concentrate, and house-made lime syrup.
ESPRESSO SUNRISE
Two shots of espresso over orange juice with cardamom syrup and aromatic bitters.

An espresso latte sweetened with house made honey thyme syrup. Try it hot or iced.
Ballard Fog 🌷🌼🪻
A floral tea latte made with locally sourced Earl Grey, finely ground and blended with our house-made Secret Garden syrup, featuring rose hip, osmanthus, and lavender - all from our Ballard neighbor, Zen Dog. Enjoy it hot or iced, or ask for it dirty with a shot of espresso.
Lemon Lavender Espresso Soda 🍋🪻
A mix of espresso and house made lemon lavender syrup, gently poured over filtered soda water.

Our Valentine’s special is here and will be available 2/8 through 2/22!
Our Rose Cardamom Mocha is made with our house made rose cardamom syrup, colored gently with organic beet powder. The syrup is then steamed into the milk and poured into a bed of espresso mixed with premium grade cocoa powder. The flavor is chocolate forward, softly floral, and gently spiced with cardamom, with a blush pink finish and a little extra love! 💖
