I am Perri Victoria Rhoden, first of my name.

I am an artist. A muralist. A creative. A teacher. A mentor. A builder.

I am a daughter. A sister. A dope ass friend. A community member and giver.

I am divinely made. I am the artwork I make. My hands create what I feel from my soul. Soulfully made and never duplicated.

I am as deep as the Pacific and as precious as your favorite memory.

I am infinite. And, I will be one dope ass ancestor. To know me is to love me. Because I am.

We are living history. Let’s celebrate us here and now. Celebrate our people. Celebrate yourself! And keep loving & creating.

The second location is up and running on 12th & Cherry and it is absolutely beautiful.

Yesterday I stopped by to support. You know, buy a collectible mug, dip in and dip out, drop off some business cards on the low.

And then mid conversation, Efrem loudly announced I was the artist who made this painting to everyone in the shop- everyone stopped, cheered, and applauded. And i turned absolutely red 😂 When did I become a shy person? I don’t know lol I really don’t know but TY Efrem for the introduction 💕😂 The pandem has made me a wallflower lol

Once I returned to my body, I met some wonderful people and enjoyed listening about how much folks love this shop, the staff, the community, the coffee, and how far they travelled to be there that day.

And that made it all perfect. Definitely visit if you can and feel the beauty for yourself!

Yesterday, I did a thing 🎉

Last month Efrem, the amazing owner of (Renton), commissioned me to create something magical for his second and new coffee shop location (on 12th & Cherry in Seattle).

Yesterday, we installed it and then sipped champagne. TY for being my install assistant- I was stressed. But you knew what you were doing 🙏🏾

I’m overjoyed with the end result. It’s absolutely breathtaking in the space.

This time around I used house paint, glitter, gel mediums, gold leaf, and Boon Boona’s “Turihamwe” grounded coffee beans on recycled canvas. They smelled so good.

Yes, there are coffee grounds in this painting. *hair flip*

TY 😘 for trusting me to deliver. Because honey I did! 💅🏽 Moreover, thank you for understanding the importance of elevating artists in our community. I can’t wait to see what installs as well. 🙏🏾

Yesterday I said goodbye to my Ballard studio. I spent all of 2020 in that space. It served me so well.

I threw paint in there. I let paint drip. I drew on the walls. I experimented. I discovered. In the midst of so many uncertainties, I kept creating. And I bloomed 🌷

Saddest part is leaving my studio-mate . I loved having her so close. You are a gift. I love you friend! That thumbtack heart is for you ❤️💕💜

The greatest part about being an artist is making my own stuff when I can’t find what I want.

I created this drawing on and then found a manufacturer to print it. It’s inspired by my recent mural at in Greenwood.

And I used one of my favorite photographer friend-creatives # as inspiration for one of the figures 😍🥰 Check my stories today to see who!
