It was the trust. The camaraderie. The way every person looked out for one another without hesitation. Jake and I truly felt like family. (They even personalized our gear with our names!)
At a time when departments across our region are struggling to recruit the next generation of firefighters, this experience was a reminder that this job is about so much more than fighting fires. It’s about service, sacrifice, and being part of a team that depends on each other in the moments that matter most.
Grateful for the opportunity to witness it up close.
CCTV cameras captured an unprovoked attack on a 77-year-old man in downtown Seattle. After surveillance video of the suspects was released, a tip from the public helped police identify one of the two suspects.
Some argue this is an example of how surveillance technology can help solve crimes. Others are calling on the mayor to fulfill her campaign promise to remove the cameras over privacy concerns.

A couple pics of the work family at the game yesterday. Our friend and former colleague Dennis was at the ballpark and stopped to say 👋. Miss working with him!! And now, another colleague is leaving. Any guesses who it could be in the large group pic? A fun sendoff at the game and excited for what’s next for them!

A weekend supporting ! First, a Saturday night gala, followed by a performance of Grease. (Even my husband loved it - and he doesn’t see musicals very often 😉)
