Aging on TV can be painful…especially as a woman. You start to realize how differently men and women are allowed to grow older. A man’s face tells a story. A woman’s face becomes a discussion.

At a time when departments across our region are struggling to recruit the next generation of firefighters, this experience was a reminder that this job is about so much more than fighting fires. It’s about service, sacrifice, and being part of a team that depends on each other in the moments that matter most.
