Thanks to all of our friends and customers who made it out for our winter market this weekend and made it a huge success! It was a wonderful event and the house was packed! I think we definitely will be doing this again. 😀

Beautiful new arrival at the store - a strikingly bound teal crushed Morocco set of Parkman’s works bound by MacDonald.

Riding a sled in icy weather sounds pretty good on a hot summer day like today….

This is our crisp 1903 copy (4th impression) of Jack London’s epic classic, printed by MacMillan in New York and featuring artwork by Philip R. Goodman, Charles Livingston Bull and Charles Edward Hooper.

DM us for more info.

5 years to the day after the murder of Che Guevara in Bolivia, Fidel Castro’s revolutionary partner in Cuba, this miniature was printed by the PCC in Cuba. The Diario Del Che en Bolivia details Che’s revolutionary efforts in Bolivia as leader of the ELN guerrillas from 1966 to 1967 with its last entry being the day of his capture. This 5 year anniversary edition contains exactly 1000 pages. Perhaps the the purpose of this 2” x 2” book was to keep the spirit of the revolution alive wherever they might be.

POV: it’s 1867 and you live in Portland, Oregon. Population 6717 (population increase of 200 from the year before). By 2020 the population had nearly increased 100x to over 650,000.
A thin modest little book hardly over 1/4” thick, who would have guessed that Portland would grow to become one of the largest and coolest cities on the west coast?

A delicious culinary tour of Seattle in 1955 giving an overview of Seattles most popular restaurants at the time and an actual recipe from each. Remarkably a number of these establishments still exist today like Ivar’s and Canlis. A lesser known classic by still revered but long gone Seattle author Bill Speidel.
