This week I am so touched by the outpouring of love this Coast Guard community shows for one of their own. Thank you for your gracious care and camaraderie with one another.

Last weekend a Coast Guard family lost their home in a fire. Base has gotten together and put out a station wide email asking for donations. We volunteered to put out a box as a collection spot and every day this week there has been drop offs that has been picked up daily. This morning I walked in and saw the box overflowing!!! Thank you everyone for rallying together to support this family! This box will be up for one more week to collect donations. Thank you for your support!

Here are some items I know that are still needed:
Blankets
Bedding (queen sized)
Pillows
Table lamps (3)
Kitchenware: plates, bowls, glasses, utensils
Tupperware, spices, baking supplies, measuring cups
Kitchen mats
Bath mats
Towels
Toilet brushes (2)
Bath curtains + curtain rings
Hangers
Basic tools (stolen after the fire)
Hammer, screwdrivers, ect
Educational/musical toys for 8 yo girl + 4 yo boy

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone is PRESENT with friends and family, because there's SNOW place like home :)
