MITAGS and the Maritime Conference Center are honored to celebrate the American Merchant Marine Veterans leaders receiving the Merchant Marine Medal for Outstanding Achievement.
This recognition reflects a lifetime of service, leadership, and dedication to an industry that remains essential to our nation’s strength and security.
We are especially proud to recognize Captain Christopher Edyvean, a valued MITAGS instructor for many years, whose commitment to maritime education and preserving maritime history exemplifies the very best of our industry.
Congratulations also to Christian Yuhas, Darin Huggins, and Dru DiMattia on this well-deserved honor.
The work of these leaders — particularly their efforts in securing the Congressional Gold Medal for World War II Merchant Mariners — helps preserve the legacy and sacrifices of America’s merchant mariners for future generations.
We are proud to support the American Merchant Marine Veterans and grateful for all they continue to do for the maritime community.
